According to PWTorch.com, Eric Bischoff was told that his removal from the RAW General Manager position was not, by any means, a punishment.

However, he is not aware of any plans to return to television.

Vince and Stephanie McMahon both expressed their appreciation for the work he'd been doing but gave him no indication of when he would be back on the air.

For the time being, he remains under a $200,000/year television contract, although it is possible his deal will not be renewed when its expiration comes up. A number of former WCW wrestlers who were released by Bischoff would take great satisfaction in Bischoff's run with WWE coming to an end.

he had a little success. No one will forget the 86 week squash that wcw pulled on wwe when he was in charge, but after that things burnt up faster than waco tx.

if he hadnt had the vase amount of cash behind him (tunrers pocketbook) he would have bankrupted that company. He earned the nickname "atm eric"

All those public firings are just part of the show, he probably just gonna be behind the scenes for a little bit and maybe get some TV face time in 6 months to a year. People need a break from being on the road all the time. It drains you.
