Coming soon is the first official release from Southeast San Diego's young gunner, Baby Bandit. The debut offering is titled "Young Fly & Thuggin" and features a combination of original tracks and mixtape songs. With production from Dave Moss, The Batkave, Sandman & Kriss Money, "Young Fly & Thuggin" is a well-defined mix of mainstream and underground music that will appeal to all types of rap consumers.
At 21 years young, Baby Bandit, has the edge to reach the masses of ever so fickle modern day music fans but also has the confidence of a veteran who sounds like he has spent years perfecting his craft. Baby Bandit "cut his teeth" on the underground scene of San Diego and then branched out working with artists from all over the West Coast when he was introduced to West Coast underground rap phenom, A-Wax. The Pie-Rx Recordz C.E.O. immediately took his style and charisma and a relationship was born. Baby Bandit brought his Top Flight Entertainment to the table to learn and benefit from the already established and well-respected Pie-Rx Recordz family.
"Young Fly & Thuggin" was recorded over the course of a year but delays with former business partners and DJ's prevented Baby Bandit from releasing the highly anticipated CD. Not one to stick to the "formula", Baby Bandit strayed from all traditional methods and worked with everyone he felt was up to par with his own skill set. "Young Fly & Thuggin" is a perfect mix of the established and the upcoming talent from all over California as is proven by guest appearances from San Diego rap legends Big June and Black Mikey, as well as O.G. Redrum from Bangin' On Wax fame. Also lending their talents and fan bases are fellow San Diego front liners, Beta Bossalini, Juice Lee as well as Pie-Rx labelmates Bandana Tha Ragg, Mally Mall and of course A-Wax. Sacramento flamespitter Do It Movin appears on two songs as well as Guce, Bosko and more.
"Young Fly & Thuggin" is put together by California DJ veterans, DJ Kali and B. Frank "The Mixtape Heavyweight" and the seemless blends and mixes are sure to rival any of the East Coast mixtape kings.
Stay tuned!
