the Aussies have sum stern remarks regarding the war and bush....They have first hand knowledge cuz they have troops there....no other country with troops there have been that vocal...

do ya'll think their assessment of everything is MORE accurate then the White Houses?....AUS offers many good points about how democracy wont work...and how its gonna look like Vietnam....

their view seems to bemore realistic then ours....for sum reason we think since they had an election everything is fine!!!!!!!

LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!......in reality it couldnt be farther from the truth...to begin witht he election was BS...so how could positive come out of a BS election and THOUSANDS OF YEARS OF CONFLICT BEWTWEEN SUUNNIS,KUDS,SHIITES!!!????

do u REALLY think the election helped??....SHIT..ALL IT DID WAS CREATE MORE TENSION BETWEEN THE 3 DIFFERENT PARTIES

but wait..wrerent they "landmark" elections....LOL....or democracy for people who don't even want a democratic government!?!?!

I think they pointed out some of the obvious and may be looking for “an exit strategy” of their own but let’s not forget that the current Australian government is equally to blame for joining the war and sending troops as any other country. They will continue to support the U.S, despite Occasional “criticisms” of the war or US Imperialism.

Since 9/11, the Howard Government has used the same terrorist scare tactics as the Bush regime. For example, before last years election there was a string of terrorist charges against Muslims and numerous headlines about “Terrorist Cells” in Australia. But today, no evidence has been produced of such terror cells and many of the accused have been released with no charge. They’ve also adapted their own sort of “terror alerts” and other such nonsense.

In addition, they are involved in their own disturbing Imperialist wars, such as having troops collaborating with the Indonesian military in Aceh, the oil-rich province, among other places across Indonesia.
From what I’ve read, I believe there is a pretty strong opposition to the Howard Government and as new scandals arise, along with the slow growth of the economy, the public is starting to get fed up with him.

The Aussies are so cool.[/QUOTE

hahaha...so thats the conservative rebuddle??....LOL...

makes sense...all u guys say is "fuck them" if they are not sheep to the US....Sean Hannity is the perfect example of that

im not saying the Aussie parliment or w/e is perfect....i was juts pointing out they have sum "REALISTIC" views of the war in IRAQ.....

and since they have troops there and support the US...its important there is crticism...cuz if you criticize anything here ur "unpatriotic" or "terorist sympathizer"...so its good to hear sum harsh "realistic" criticism from a country that supports the US

@ Toktzli - Wow, you SERIOUSLY had to ask what a "rebuddle" is as if it's really all that important. You knew what he was trying to say and you were able to reply to it and the only other argument you can give is "how about you play english student."

@707, Howard was dismissing claims that the situation of Iraq parallels that of Vietnam homie. Besides, he's still playin politician giving no "absolute guarantees" and so forth.
