Anyone know of any good gaming monitors? I need a good monitor for my 360 as I have no use for a tv others than playing games on it. I have cable and internet if I wanna watch tv so I want this monitor for gaming purposes only. So my budget is like $150-$250, and I see frys has some pretty good sales goin on right now. So are monitors with a refresh rate of 8 to 5 ms cool or do I absolutely NEED one with a refresh rate of 2ms? Also, would wide screen be better or a regular screen?

Any help is appreciated folks.

what sort of size are you lookin for, something along the lines of a 32inch or a more compact 19inch screen?

Wait...what? That doesnt make sense. Technically, there is no such thing as a HD PC monitor, per se. You can buy a DUAL PC/HDTV monitors, which is basically a monitor that can operate as a TV as well as a moniter, but that isnt traditional. Otherwise, LCD is already HD. You cant buy a non-HD LCD TV, as all companies either maek them HD-ready, or HD built in.

LCD TV's = great PC moniters.

PC Moniter = not for TV use, unless noted.

i'd try to get somethin' like 1920*1200.. or 1920*1080.. get somethin' with hdmi inputs.. or at least dvi. you don't need no vga bullshit.. and somethin' about hdcp.. to watch hd movies.. but i don't know if you gonna do all that.. but i don't see why not... might be more like in the $300 range tho...


but if that's too much.. 1680*1050 would be the lowest i'd go.

lol my bro tried using his lcd monitor to play but he needed to buy this back peace that goes in the back of the xbox to connect some cables, think the vga u talking about, but the shit ethernet port on that shit didnt work so he couldnt play online. His LCD is old though from 03.
