9/11, Where were you when it happened?

I was at work, in a cabinet shop on McClellan A.F.B. when my supervisor told us that the W.T.C. had gotten bombed (that was from one of the first reports) So the owner told us to all go in the break room so we could watch what was going on tv Live. We were watching and it was a trip to see the second plane hit, and then minutes later both towers crumbling. After that, the owner shut off the tv and told us to get back to work! He wouldnt let us leave. I quit the next week. I didnt want to work for an asshole that wouldnt let you leave, when your worrying about your families and whats going to come next.

Where were you, and what were you doing?

I was sleeping when my phone rang. It was my mom and she said "we're under attack!". lol, I didn't know what the fuck was going on, jumped out my bed and looked out the window expecting to see a warzone. Turned out a couple planes hit some building in NY. Went back to sleep.

I was sleeping and my mom came flyin down my stairs tellin me to turn the TV on. It was seconds before the planes hit the 2nd tower. we sat there is shock watching it all unfold live on TV.

out of 360 something employees, I was one of like 5 there.

What's funny is that 9/11 is my dads b-day. So you know I had planned on taking him out for dinner that night and well not to ever turn down a good dinner, we went. Place was DEAD. But at least the service was good!

i was sleeping and my radio turned on it was set to 94.9 "the dog house" and i heard them talkin about some shit, kept wakin' up and fallin asleep untill i turned on the tv then seen the second plane hit

It was always get ready, grab some food, and hit it out the door and eat on the way to class.

That day I was ready with some spare time so I was able to sit down and turn on the TV before having to go to class. Turned on the TV in time just after the second plane hit.

I remember walking to class and some guy launghing and cheering about how the U.S. finally got what was coming to em as all these people were huddled around a radio on the street.

I was getting my kids ready for school, and saw that shit on the Today show. I didnt know what the fuck was goin' on so I didnt take the kids to school, and I just watched TV the whole day.....the images from Mexican stations was some of the most graphic shit I EVER saw on TV. The feelings and thoughts of the persons trapped, as well as the ones who jumped to me are something that is just as scary as the images.

To this day, I have serious doubts on whom is responsible.

i was also getting my daughter ready for school, but not really paying attention to the tv and when i came back from dropping her off, i seen that something had went down and ran right out of the door and picked her up...i dont remember seeing any planes hitting or anything, or seeing everything unfolding on tv, all i can recall is worrying about my daughter in school and that i had to go pick her up asap..and i didnt go to work either..

I first heard about it when i turned on the tv before heading out to school, but I didnt know it was that serious until i got to class.

i was gettin up 2 go 2 school. i was just startin the 11th grade. my bro called the house and told me 2 put on the tv and i did. some of the scariest shit i ever seen b4.. RIp. PEACE.

I was sleeping at college and my phone rang at about 7:00 in the morning. I said to myself, "Who the fuck is calling me this early in the morning?" So I went back to sleep and checked the message when I woke up. It was my mom sounding very panicked talking about planes are falling out of the sky. I called her back and said "What are you talking about?" She said "Haven't you turned on the TV?" I said "No" and turned it on. I watched it for about an hour and then went to class. All of my teachers talked about the situation in an open forum type of class.

I did not go to work that night because I worked at LAX and going to work was basically optional. The planes were grounded for the day, anyway. I had to go in the next day. Even though FedEx flies a lot of their packages, they did eveything by truck for the next couple of days.
