na jim, if your not knowin anything about a router get a hub instead. a router has advantages but if you dont know how to use them or even need them, then they will hinder your system. go ahead and spend half the price for a hub (router around $85, hub around $35). they're much simplier, just plug in your internet connection, and your outgoing connection to the hub, and your set.
