cool little details in this episode that went unnoticed on my first watch, here are a few examples I found on the internetz:

-Really awesome details of the White Walker entering the burning house and the flames go out as he walks:
Gfycat - jiffier gifs through HTML5 Video Conversion. Fast, simple gif hosting without size limits.
(This also could have some implications; I wonder if this scene was designed specifically to convey that you can't just use fire, and regular weapons against The White Walkers. For these guys you need dragon glass and dragon steel. For the wights, fire kills them no problem.)

My only complaint about the episode was that it was hard to follow that fight scene. The colors were dark and the camera angle changed so fast...the whole thing was a blur.

Show finally jumped the shark having Stannis burn Shireen. Guess he was just too complex of a character for the writers to be able to get him in the end. Dany riding Drogon looked like The Neverending Story. Dorne & Arya wasted 30 minutes. Worst episode 9 of the series but at least they left a lot of shit for next week

I thought the Dorne stuff was kind of funny, a nice break for the pure carnage that took place after that was a lot of death. Thought Drogon finally coming and tearing shit up was pretty sick too. Yeah it was a bit corny with her riding him though at the end but anyway you put someone on TV riding a dragon it's going to look ridiculous I'm sure. But I remember either in Fire and Ice books, or Dunk and Egg, them telling stories about the old Tygarians literally riding dragons.

So yeah I feel totally different about that episode I thought it was pretty fucking dope.

Yeah not only that but it seemed like there was about 25 unsullied on security duty for the whole tournament.

Where were the 2nd sons in all this mess?

Stannis also hugged Shireen before she burned. There's never been any incendental contact between Shireen and her parents?

Or is it no longer contagious because she was "cured"?
