It's absolute horseshit. The biggest bullshit of the whole thing is, if you don't pay it, you're not allowed to drive it. You pay thousands of dollars for something, keep it maintained, pay insurance, pay for gas, etc...then if they don't give them 'their' $151 (or whatever you pay) a year you cant drive it. A system put in place because their gross mismanagement of money if the first place.
Word, I fucking despise paying for vehicle registration. I understand the reason for it, such as accidents and people being accountable, but the fact we gotta pay so much fucking money for it makes me sick.
They can just as easily charge $5.00 or some shit to cover the cost of the tin for the plate. No reason whatsoever to be charging like $175 plus another $25 for emissions testing.

I didn't pay my registration on time this year. It was due in August, and I paid it in November. Plus late fees, and unpaid ticket(s), and registration reinstatement fee, and smog, it all came out to like $572...
