I'd rather see Donaire/Mares. Mares hasn't shown that he can walk down a good-great counterpuncher and win. He's beaten action fighters with high workrates. He himself is a good boxer with decent power and a good chin. That shouldn't be confused with having the type of skills to destroy someone like Rigo (at this point).

Rigo would also heat mares.... rigo vs victor "vikingo" terrazas from guadalajara who fighting cristian mijares would be a good scrap..

Well people will point to his victory over Moreno as evidence that he will do well against Rigondeaux. I never thought Moreno was anything special he's sloppy as hell, technique is all jacked up and his footwork is poor. He's slick I guess but the skill level is miles below Rigondeaux.

That's exactly what I said to bigface a couple pages ago but he wasn't havin it, rather conclude Donaire was exposed and was a hype job.
If you are an elite top 5 P4P boxer, you should at the very least have a plan b. That's why I call him a hypejob. HBO gassed this guy up like he was a great boxer with speed in both his hands and feet. No just like most of these hypejobs he only looks good against a guy standing right in front of him. I'm sorry but that not what I call an elite boxer. Elite boxers adjust in the ring or dictate there boxing game no matter if the other guy is brawling or moving. Donaire looked like shit and was looking for the left hand all night. Donaire is a good fighter but he is highly overrated and he's not where near an elite boxer.

bagface, what are you talking about man? Even the best trainers don't have answers to styles at times. It happens. It's also difficult to have a plan B when the other fighter is putting rounds in the bank and doesn't have to engage to win the fight.

Erik Morales lost the fight and he didn't look lost in there like Donaire and he was moving up in weight to135lb after he beat Manny at 130lb. Morales was moving up in weight andAgain u got schooled stop making excuses for Donaire.

If you only look good boxing one type of fighting style in my opinion you are not an elite fighter or P4P fighter. Morales beat Jr Jones a damn good boxer that beat up MAB 2 times. Morales was not clueless like Mr. My shoulder hurts Donaire he just lost a fight.
