i don't follow the US team or MLS. i really wish the MLS was better, i would like to watch more matches in person. for now i got my college team... who are pretty weak themselves lol

its a shame that in this era soccer is increasingly controlled by money. the only players MLS teams can afford are the fossils and the unknowns. it will soon become the graveyard of soccer.... already swallowed beckham, i heard christian vieri may sign with LA, he's next (although he was already on his way out, id much rather play for Atalanta then Galaxy any day)

we should start more soccer threads in here i like discussing it. i dont care if no one likes it besides us :)

I agree man, MLS is where washed up players that can't cut it in Europe any more will go to get cashed out. It's not attractive to watch as a soccer fan.

And that Cantona goal is sick, the guy was a baller...

I also agree about having more soccer threads too...

MLS is entertaining soccer, of course it aint EPL shit, but come on, you guys all want it to be better, saying shit like i wish MLS was better, but you guys straight up say you wont support it. so how does that shit work... it all goes back to people not wanting to support american soccer because it aint the popular thing to do in the soccer community, whatever tho.

Na don't get me wrong, I support soccer in any form. The reason the MLS sucks is because of the salary cap and all the lame rules they have about foreigners. I want to see good soccer and it's difficult to see in the MLS, but it is better than it was before...

I know that the salary cap is an issue. but in order for it to go away, people are gonna have to support so theses owners make more money.

That's the problem, people aren't going to support some lame soccer league just to make the owners more money...LOL

The OWNERS need to make the league better if they want more support and more profit, not the other way around...

i think they all should. all big european clubs have youth squads and thats how u build a team. u cant just sign all kinds of poeple from all over the world and throw together a team there will be no chemistry.

yeah but you make it sound like american soccer fans have an obligation to support the MLS and they don't. its like when the XFL came around.... NFL is too established and the players are too dominant for it to become popular. no good players no history etc.

yeah a lot of people in the US root for top clubs but why shoudlnt they? we dont have any here.

a lot of people just appreciate the game and enjoy watching a good match. seeing quality play and watching the worlds best. you cant do that with the MLS.

why not pick a club to follow? if for no other reason just because you like some of their players?

we like quality football. when you grow up watchin the best, you expect the best.
i was pumped when the MLS was announced.went to the inaugral games etc..

but shit quickly showed itself to be amateur hour... like watchin college soccer
no flow.
NO FLOW..
NO FLOW...
lots of balls kicked in the air, cleared out the midfield.. etc
cleared off the backline.. they cant even work out of trouble.. little shit like that

im real partial to the premiership cuz the games are exciting..
more so than la liga, serie a and the bundesliga..

^^ prime example of "the front running soccer fan" from this country... so sad.. oh well. have fun watching ronoaldo sit on his ass most of the game complaining about something... yeah thats fun to watch.
