Harlem’s “Legend of 2 Games” partners up with the street active brand for an iconic fashion collection
LOS ANGELES, CA (Aug. 18, 2014) – Elite men’s streetwear brand Post Game Outfitters has teamed up with Harlem street ball legend Pee Wee Kirkland to release an exclusive time capsule fashion collaboration. The premium capsule, made up of one-of-a-kind hoodies, crewneck shirts, jerseys, hats and more, will be unveiled at the AGENDA Trade Show on Monday, Aug. 18th, Tuesday, Aug. 19th and Wednesday, Aug. 20th at Booth #H-12 inside The Sands Expo Center located at 201 Sands Avenue in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The unique and quality collection, made with the finest of materials, pays homage to the amazing street ball feats Pee Wee Kirkland achieved during his unprecedented reign in the prime years of the Rucker basketball league in Harlem, New York in the ‘70’s. The capsule of “Time Pieces” including the “Pee Wee Mesh Crew,” “Bank of Harlem Tee,” “The Crown Hat,” and “Legend Basketball Jersey,” all signify defining moments in Kirkland’s life as a superior athlete and big time hustler in his prime. Each design was inspired by an era in which Pee Wee Kirkland pioneered and maintained superior influence on how to dress back in the day. Kirkland was one of the first high rollers back in his heyday to go see fashion emporium creator Dapper Dan in the ‘70s. The custom prints, styles and trends that were set by Harlem and Uptown’s hustlers at the time, are being reinvented with this premium capsule.
Respected by older generations and admired by the new, the “Legend of 2 Games,” who has also been immortalized in a slew of rap songs by Hip-Hop’s finest including the Clipse (“Grindin”) Fat Joe (“Lean Back”), Rick Ross, French Montana and Kendrick Lamar, will connect with a younger demographic of fashion lovers with this Post Game Outfitters collaboration.
“I don’t want to be a legend just to be a legend,” notes Pee Wee Kirkland. “I want to make an impact on these young people’s lives who know about me and admire me.” Kirkland, whose name has been iconic in the sports and street worlds for five decades, was the all time leading scorer in the Rucker League and dubbed “the fastest man in college basketball” by Sports Illustrated Magazine.
