According to Havoc and Prodigy, their beef last year was nothing more than a family squabble. The two rappers, who have already announced that Mobb Deep has reunited for a tour, explained that they’ve managed to put their dispute behind them and make amends.
Havoc explained that the beef hasn’t soured Mobb Deep’s relationship, and added that sometimes people who are close to one another simply don’t get along. “Let me just start off by saying Mobb Deep is like brothers. Understand what I’m saying? And brothers, we go through things,” Havoc told MTV.
Havoc also acknowledged that he was responsible for the series of tweets which sparked the beef, but in the end, he still considers Prodigy family. “The tweets definitely happened and I take my part in that. At the end of the day, like I said, we went through things. When family goes through things it’s like, they shouldn’t be handled in the streets,” said Havoc.
Prodigy explained that their beef was just a part of knowing each other so well and working together constantly. “Me and Hav got a different type of relationship man. It’s different man. We been through a lot of stuff growing up, just personal stuff. When you dealing with someone for that long every day, you going to have your little squabbles or whatever. It’s nothing. The bottom line is we smarter than all the BS,” said Prodigy.
