Legendary icon/rapper Ice-T is spearheading a new movie that will leave people with their eyebrows raised and their minds blown.
As the documentary’s producer, T is revisiting the life of one of the most talked about iconic legends that the likes of Jay-Z and Snoop Dogg used to look up to: Robert Lee Maupin, aka Iceberg Slim. A controversial pimp that was in the business for over 38 years, Iceberg Slim paved a path for more men to follow in generation after generation to come.
Being a man who kept an “icy manner” during sticky situations, Ice-T recaps on how one man from Chicago articulated the thoughts and feelings, not just of the pimps, but of the women as well. “He wrote books that I grew up on,” says T.
The legend will be on screen in Iceberg Slim: Portrait of a Pimp On-Demand on July 12, and in select theaters July 19th.
