read my post bro bruh. the people I talked to that didn't care about boxing, thought it was boring. the people I talked to that actually liked boxing, had nothing negative to say. and my life don't revolve around Mayweather or boxing so I don't gotta hang around shit.

A lot of people in mainstream America respect chess. Why you think muthafuckas play it in prison, on the streets of Frisco and Bobby fisher movies make millions? Why are people bored? It's because they have an idea of what boxing is and that idea is the wrong idea. Instead of saying, "hey this guy is so good he's barely getting touched" people are saying he's boring. What type of ass backwards shit is that? Now I'm not saying it's you bro, you get it, but if a pitcher throws a no hitter is he called boring? Hell no he makes the high light reel. If a team holds another teams offense to a field goal is it boring? No that team is called a great defensive team. So why is that a boxer can get in there and do the same thing but he gets criticized for it? It's because the public perception is screwed up.

People really do want to see people like Ali, like provodnikov, like Bradley when he was cuckoo for cocoa puffs for two months and like Tapia. I mean I like a knock out but goddamn, it's a fuckin sight to see a guy in one place, dodge a punch, and then somehow he is back in the middle of the ring and firing off. The fans need to start paying attention to the science part of it and just stop looking for blood.

BTW, I had Pac to win the fight but the Bay Area called it exactly how it went down. I used to defend Pac and was only mad at Floyd when he went in on his father in front of all those people. Others than that I blamed both fighters for the delay but then started to realize Manny was on some bullshit. Now I see, manny is the stain on boxing and fans, casual and hardcore, need to call the liar out. I mean this guy let his homies bet on him when he knew he had no gameplan. With friends like that who needs enemies?

I know that. you know that. how many people know who Bobby Fisher is? how many prisoners played chess prior to prison? how many people in Frisco grab a seat and play a game? chess is dope. but it's hardly an exciting game to mainstream America. of course there are exceptions, but mainstream America don't fuck with chess. a nice board just looks real boss in a movie scene.



the perception of boxing is wrong. but that's cus of Ali and Tyson. they molded the perception (relatively) early on. they made boxing what it is now.

casual mma fans can do with out bjj. it's obvious. they don't get it. but with out bjj, there would not be UFC or mma. it's damn near the back bone. people want to see KO's. the only fighter that really made casual fans respect ground game is Rousey. they don't know anything about judo, or bjj, but they know what an armbar is. and because she so dominate in one aspect of mma, with one type of submission, it over shadows the rest of the class full of aggressive stand up fighters, which in theory is what everybody wants to see in the first place. but all people can say is "Rouseys opponents suck". No. Rouseys opponents are all great fighters. take Rousey out and its still one of the most exciting classes in UFC. one person can change the perception of a sport tho. boxing is waaaaaaaay too old to all of a sudden have a "new meaning".
