I know yall tired of hearing this but check it anyway. With Floyd Mayweather doing a block buster deal with Showtime which includes major network backing and advertisement on major Saturday and Sunday time slots he is poised to face Canelo Avarez (if they both get past their next prospective fights vs Canelo and Austin Troute) can either match or surpass Mayweather vs Oscar Dela Hoya. It's to bad Canelo can't wait till he has posted 2 more major names on his resume to make him even bigger but time might not be on Mayweather's side so they have to do it now in September.

Now check out the moves Bob Arum is making with Manny Pacquiao taking him over seas and into the Asian market with the rising power of their casinos supposedly become more prominent than even the Las Vegas casinos as far as revenue gained from the gambling culture. Arum claims he will Make Pacquiao a global superstar (like he wasn't already big). But Pacquiao has a tough road to travel as he has to rematch Juan Manuel Marquez and win (he can outpoint Marquez and move on)...I personally don't think he needs a knock out. Just outbox his opponent and move on to Timothy Bradley who in my opinon is the tougher of the two challenges. Why? Because Pacquiao can neither knock Bradley down or out and he can't connect on Bradley as much as Marquez. Don't look at the compu box numbers to their last fight cause they lied (Pac average 22 punches landed per round LMFOA!!!)...the judges were the ones that got it right, Bradley won.

Now if both fighters win in 2013 moving into 2014 with their new promotional plat forms then this fight will be BIGGER than the fictional 2009, 2010 version of this mythical match up. It is ALL contingent on one man and that is Bob Arum...is he finally willing to risk and cash out or will he gamble yet once again on avoiding Mayweather? Will Pacquiao let the Mayweather bout slip away with thinking he is Mayweather's equal. Facts state otherwise time and time again that Mayweather is the bigger draw of the two? Fact is you don't split 50/50 or do deals like 40/40 winner take remaining 10%. When Oscar was Pay Per View King and Floyd was Pound 4 Pound King...Mayweather had to accept the lesser of the purse it's that simple. Pacquiao and his team need to be more business oriented and less prideful as they have been humiliated by the unexpected turn of events of 2011 and 2012.

When Dela Hoya was waiting for the returning numbers on the Dela Hoya vs Mayweather Pay Per View numbers, he thought that the bout would do 1.5 million...then he saw 2.5 million and was shocked. Well with the titanic move Mayweather has just solified and the supposed super move Bob Arum/ Manny Pacquioa are reported to be formulating...if both fighters square of in 2014 in September with undercards names such as Nonito Donare vs?-----/ Adrien Broner vs------?/ it could shatter that 2.5 million mark.

I don't support this faggot. Maybe you like his gay T-shirts, I dunno.
Damn...that's fucked up 2-O-Sixx...I posted this up with you in mind as far as your boxing knowledge. As I have read your posts over the years and respect you of all people on this Combat Forum...special shout out to some other posters but I forget their names right now. You see the thing with me is I don't willingly call out another man and call him a faggot, bitch, punk or whatever. It's not in my character...I posted my opinion with the expectation that you and a couple of other more knowledgeable people could expand on the subject or debunk some of the facts. I don't follow boxing as extensively as you but I do know boxing from a technical stand point I was boxing for 8 years in Kings Boxing Gym...at the time of: Andre Ward, Nonito Donare, and James Paig. This is a boxing topic...who cares if you agree with me as a rapper/ promoter...we supposed be men bra?

2-O-Sixx...what most surprises me by your response is, I've seen you post up some very mature content and give an educated analysis on boxing. People usually attack YOU for such loftiness...where did the animosity come from that went against ALL the posting I've seen you engage in?

Now you made me feel bad and shit lmao. You're right, immature post on my part. Bad migraine today, shitty mood. That Dorner shirt rubbed me the wrong way, but you know what that's your business not mine and shouldn't affect combat sports discussions. My apologies, I'll delete my post.
See what I'm sayin...there are some characters that are ABOVE the siccness.net culture...and I believe 2-O-Sixx is one of them...able to turn around and say, "Hey it was a mistake"...champions may lose but it's how you fight and come back of that loss. Of all my time being on this board there are very FEW people I actually respect because I can tell who a follower is...to weak minded to buck a trend...Sixx aint one of them. Now getting past that how do you break down what I posted?

It's still possible for this fight to happen but all the stars and planets are going to have to align perfectly in order. First, as you mention they both need to win. Floyd beating Guerrero and Canelo seems likely but there is no guarantee Pac beats Marquez. Maybe Pac is gun shy, maybe his chin will never be the same and he's KOd again, no one knows.

But if they both win where are they going to make their money? Floyd has no one left other than Sergio Martinez at 160 pounds but that's a very risky fight. Pacquiao could fight Bradley again but no one will be too excited about watching that rematch and probably won't do to well on PPV. That leaves Brandon Rios.Other than that, no one realistically.

Pacquiao would obviously have to take the smaller purse, but Floyd can't demand his typical 90/10 split, it would have to be more like 60/40. Even though Pac was KTFO he's still a huge star.

It's not comparable to Oscar since Oscar was so a head of everyone else in popularity. Floyd is the PPV king but not by a lot. Pacquiao does around a millions ppv buys at least. Oscar made Floyd a star. Oscar made Pacquiao a star in America. Oscar made Hopkins a star. Oscar truly was the Golden Boy everyone he fought became stars or at least made their biggest paydays.

I don't think this fight would break 2.5 million ppv buys. The fight is well.past its expiration date. It will still be a huge success as plenty of long overdue fights are such as Leonard vs Hearns II or Leonard vs Duran III, both of which happened when they were well past prime but that hardly mattered to the paying public, same goes for Ali vs Frazier III.

Okay...this is why I think this is BIGGER than all other fights...it's because of promotional platform both are on...Arum/Pacquiao have to complete their business plan like Floyd has Already done. So if they make the fight in 2014...you combine Mayweather's TV promotions and Pacquiao's Asian market casino and you place the fight there (Floyd gives up negotiation wise the location (fight not in Vegas) for bigger % = $$$ compensation...and you got the makings of a colossal event. The Bradley fight will still be huge because it would most likely be staged over seas and Manny's fans are loyal and who wouldn't want to see a Pacqiuao vs Bradley II rematch I think anyone who wouldn't is a casual boxing fan? Especially if Bradley looks good in his next fight. The man is undefeated. That would mean Pacqiuao would face Marquez, then face undefeated champion Bradley and onto undefeated champion Mayweather. If he should get through that murders row...he will be an ALL TIME GREAT...top 3-5.
