Since making car threads seems to be the thing to do these days...thought it was my turn.

Right now I'm driving a 1999 Toyota Camry LE V6 that looks like this (but with some slightly nicer looking rims)...

But I almost have 140,000 miles on it....and i'm sure it can last me close to 200k, but I wanna drive something nicer anyways while I'm still young.

I got it down to two choices. I wanna get either a 2002-2003 IS300 with no more than 70k miles...I could get that for around $15k...or a new 2008 Accord Coupe V6....but thats gonna be $28k MSRP. I would go with the IS300...but i think it only gets 25mpg highway and I commute 20 miles + each way almost erry day. The Accord should get 29mpg highway...but I'm not exactly sure if I can afford a $28k car. I'm sure there's other nice cars I could look in that are cheaper and have better gas millage...but I don't want anything slower than my current car cuz I like to smash every once in a while...so outta these two cars, what would u do if you were me?

the accord, its cheaper, cheaper insurance, better on gas. Its a honda it will last pretty long even tho lexus is made by toyota. Not to mention if it was to fuck up.. parts are cheaper than the lexus.

I WANT TO BUT I CAN'T!!!!!!!!

But seriously...that was uncalled for.
I just didn't see the comparison, these are two different scenarios. And is the MPG that the Accord gets going to offset the $13,000+? Plus, there are PLENTY of cars that are faster than that Camry in an affordable price range.

My 2 cents, don't EVER buy a car unless you're paying cash.

Ive driven the is300 and it was cool, but being that it is a 03 that you are looking at I owuld go with the Honda since it is new. The Honda has decent power (but it is FWD), the Lexus has around 200HP IIRC and is RWD. Both cars come with leather, the IS I drove had suede inserts in the seats that was hella nice. The honda is probably faster, plus it gets better mileage and is a new body style, whereas the IS an older body style now...
