Pop Warner

Both my sons have played Pop Warner up here since they were 7 yrs. old (Mitey Mites). I have had the pleasure to be involved and/or coach their teams over the years. We have sent our Evergreen Bulldogs down there for Regionals in Santa Clara a handful of times in these last several years. My youngest son's team won their Regional Championship game in 2004 at the Jr. Pee Wee level. My youngest played Fullback and Middle Linebacker. My oldest played mostly Defensive End. I am going to miss it now that my boys are old enough to play school ball.

Also, The East County Jets from our area have sent teams down your way for Regionals. Are you coaching or volunteering in any way Kontac? If so enjoy that shit now, because it's good times! If not, I would advise you to somehow help out in anyway you can. Working with the kids is very self rewarding I have found out, plus it's fun coaching. I loved to be able to run the plays I designed on Offense/Defense. The only negative comments I could make was the politics involved and some of the parents who tried to ruin it...

my 17 year old cousin is playing football this season. He's skinny as fuck, but wants to play LB. I haven't really chopped it up with him about this yet, but when I do, I got some advice for him. Like, LIFT SOME FUCKING WEIGHTS YOU SKINNY ASS MOTHAFUCKA! YOU CAN'T PLAY LB BEING AS SKINNY AS YOU ARE!

LOL

Yeah, at the High School level, I can't see a skinny kid making it as a LB. Youth Football would be a different story though. Does he play for a small A or AA High School or is he in the city?

double A. i played for the same team when i was in high school. i was a both an O-linemen and D-linemen. I was a beast. i sucked at first, but ended up being really good, they gave me the Most Improved award. they gave three awards, and all three were given to Natives, so that was badass LOL since some of our best players were white LOL

His first year I was on the coaching staff since I played wideout in high school and college. This year I stepped back,he has a great head coach Steve Stenstrem former NFL qb. My son has crazy speed in 4 games
He has 11 tds and almost 1,000 yards his team is 4-0

yup, it is wierd seeing a skinny linebacker.

but if you see some of the linebackers in college, there are linebackers that weigh 200-210 lbs...

especially since you can teach one how to tackle, but you can't teach speed.
