AllHipHop.com: On this upcoming release, Rise Thru Da Ranks: From Earner Tugh Capo, who all will you be collaborating with?
Young Bleed: A got a lot of up and coming cats, but I am going to give you the heavy-hitters off bat. We got the homie C-Bo on it. C-Bo, 151, West Coat Mafia, West Coast Mafia Gang. [6’2], did some of the Chronic 2001 album, [specifically the] “Xplosive” jam with Dr. Dre, that’s who that is. My homie Money Waters, up and coming cat out here in Dallas, Fort Worth area. Got some homies from Denver, Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama, I got a lot of homeboys that’s putting it down with me like that.
What I am trying to do with this album is run like a four album series. This [is] Rise Thru Da Ranks: From Earner Tugh Capo, like a volume one, extend my hand to everyone that kept me preserved in these streets. Over the years, I ain’t been on T.V. and different things and folks think I done retired from the game. I’m glad you up on the Vintage, because a lot of cats aren’t up on the Vintage, because it was not a Priority-based record. Like I said, I want to do a four album series and let that whole piece spread, South Coast, West Coast, up North, East Coast, Worldwide. A lot of different things like this are in play, I am just trying to keep it going on. I been doing some work with the homies dead prez out there on the East Coast, so I got a lot of connections I am tying to deal with to make sure everything is everything, and we keep it crack a lackin’, ya know.
AllHipHop.com: The new album is on West Coat Mafia Records, explain how that alliance came about, you being from Louisiana working with C-Bo…
Young Bleed: My partner Pauly was doing a lot of work with different people. So, through the homeboy network, as I say, the homeboy shopping network, my partner put my with the homie Bo. I went to my homie studio and showed me an article, a Murder Dog article, with him saying he wanted to do some work with me. We connected, just a few weeks ago, I heard from Bo when he [was released from prison]. It was a good thang
