This plugin freaking rocks. It's a multiband maximizer & limiter, all in one. As soon as you put it on you'll notice an immediate difference. It can really bring your track out. I've been using it on a lot of my latest $hit instead of fucking with the more bigger CPU intense plugins, just let it do it's thing and you'll hear. I also been reading over at KVR-audio forum that it's actually made by ImageLine (Creators of FL Studio) and this is only basically a teaser to a more bigger option filled plugin. I personally like it the way it is already, can't imagine a more feature filled plugin. This is going to be imagelines best mastering plugin I think.

Download and info:
http://youwashockvst.googlepages.com/

It's full version freeware, no demo shit.

Tell me what you guys think. I know you FL guys will probably like.

What you guys think?

Nah I don't think they have a MAC OSX version. It's not free, but have you tried PSP Vintage Warmer 2? Now that plugin is the shit. It pretty much does it all as well in one package. But now, I do find this YOU WA SHOCK plugin more convenient and it sounds better IMO str8 off the bat, not to mention it's great on CPU. I personally can't stand fucking with compressors, EQ, limiters and all that $hit on the master channel, I just try to make all my individual tracks sound as best as possible without using too much effects (compression is usually a must though on a lot of shit like percussion especially) and add lil a maximiser/limter like this plugin to the main master channel to help bring my overall track out some. Some BBE Sonic Maximiser and Waves L3 ain't bad at all either.

Have you tried the freeware "Kjaerhus - Classic Series" and "Antress - Modern" plugins. Those are pretty good.

Yeah man Cubase SX3 runs everything unless there is a problem with the VST Wrapper in the plugin itself, cough Korg cough, that's the plugin developers fault. Everything I've used in Cubase SX3 works, it's just a great program and you made the right choice on deciding to go with it dude, it's a wonderful DAW.

Just install your plugins to C:\Program Files\Steinberg\VSTPlugins (That's where I have all of mine) Yours may be in a different directory IE: C:\Program Files\Steinberg\Cubase SX 3\VSTPlugins. Most installations for VST software will locate these directories. A log and a .dll file gets put into them, and then the source is normally put in the C:\Program Files directory under it's manufacturer. This is all automated you shouldn't have to set this, the installation pretty much does it all. But if you are loading it manually, say it's a smaller plugin, or a Free VST, you may have to, just create a folder for it in your VSTPlugins folder, and drop the .dll files in there.

When you load Cubase SX 3, it will pick them up and you will see it in the status bar of the loading screen. Then you simply load them through the Instruments window in Cubase SX 3 and it will open them up, you then can go to your MIDI track and set the plugin and get it's corresponding channel. Using VST's will take a basic understanding but they are really easy to use, especially in Cubase, so if you do need help just PM me with anything.

Any reviews online about this plugin?
Well KVR-audio.com has like an entire thread about it. That's how I found out about it.

Like I said though, it's created by Imageline and this plugin is just a sneak peak at what their working on. Obviously they want to make a more feature rich plugin with more settings to change, definitely more than one knob. It does give your track a nice sparkle along with that multiband compression and limiting. If you set the knob all the way to the left (zero), it will just act as a limiter.

Yeah KVR-Audio is a good site.

Just one knob? lol.

Yeah. lol But it truely does the job as soon as you turn it on. Whatever the hell kind of algorithms are inside, their good. Supposebly the first default set preset A (there's 4, A-D) was built to give you that louder radio hit type sound. Try it out for yourself. It sounds hella clean to my ears, it's subtle enough to not over do it much or thin out/distort. I kind of like it better than messing with PSP Vintage Warmer 2 or BBE Sonic Maximizer. It's good if your feeling lazy.
