I peeped your page to see if you're as wack as everyone says and I gotta ask, where the fuck are you gettin those beats?? It sounds like you're beatboxing and throwin spoons on the ground. Not hatin.. and you need some more emotion and to flow to the beat, use punch ins too..

word up, i appreciate the feedback...

the beats were made on a computer, so was all the mixing, recording, and everything else. Its not the greatest setup, but its gettin the job done, for now. I know what you mean by the emotion part, im workin on that. Im not a real emotional dude, im mostly apathetic.

Most of them verses were dropped without bein memorized, so if they sound imperfect..thats why. Now, If our whole crew had professional production..it'd be a whole different story.

If you aint liked the beats, i hoped you liked the liks, at least! 100..

Honestly homie, it aint as easy as u might think. Puttin emotion into my shit was a problem I had till D got on me about it...."say it like u got a pair" was the exact words I think. Matchin your emotion and vocal power to the lyrics and the tone of the song isnt something that comes automatic. It can take some practice....not to mention a toll on your lungs and and windpipe.

Dont take this the disrespectful way...But what Lil G & YV said! Factor in the fact i have a Spare-time--not even part time--but SPARE-time producer, and there you have it.

He cant really get on me because he doesnt have the same level of experience; i cant use the "overpowering" emotion because ive never witnessed anyone else in the lab bringin it like that. And if you've ever recorded somethin then you'd know that the finished product sounds a HELL OF A LOT different than what it sounds like while you're flowin it!

On "Angry Souls"..i cant even imagine how much pressure that would have been, with an experienced flame spitter like Sarkastik in the same studio, lookin on...but as we all know, Mo-X & Lil G did NOT melt under the pressure and they REALLY came with somethin!

Me myself...and i dont mean to take anything away from my homies when i say this...im mostly using these tracks as an extended demo. I want these tracks to make executives/rappers/producers/whoever think of all of us as modeling clay; the most flexible, versatile, shapable clay theyve seen in a minute, ya know?

Im serious about my career, but for now, i cant try to do everything at once. at my stage right now, its either quality OR quantity; i cant have both!

Until we(my clique) start spending money out-of-pocket, i doubt well ever be in the studios with the REALLY REAL serious artists/engineers...but once we DO end up in those studios, we'll have 2 albums to re-record instead of 2 albums to write, ya dig?

Instead of blasting you, I'm going to give you some solid advice. DON'T MAKE EXCUSES FOR YOUR MUSIC! I say that in all seriousness. When you are sitting opposite Big Jon of EMI right now, do you think he would give a fuck about what your beats were made on? NO. About where or how it was mixed? NO. To keep it short & simple, do you think he would give a fuck about ANY excuse you had for *ANYTHING*? The answer is a resounding 'FUCK NO'.

Showing your shit to a few select people when its not ready is one thing. Posting it on the internet for the whole world to hear when its not ready is pretty much the stupidest thing you can do if you have any intention of doing music professionally.

You NEVER get a second chance to make a first impression and if the first time someone hears you, they think its crap.........

.....then it means i gotta turn it all around, and show em im workin wit somethin, and that i wasnt full of BULLSHIT when i was woofin for all those months! :classic:

I just want somethin out there for people to hear, so they can hear my growth. True, not everybody is gonna be a fan from day one, but those that WERE will be able to look back and think "Damn, that $5 i spent on a CD-r helped him get into a pro studio, and record the demo that got him his deal..", ya dig?

True...im VERY optimistic for an industry with SO MANY pitfalls, snakes, and outright theives, but i look at it as a good preparation. There'd be NOTHING more flattering to me than hearing rhymes i wrote on the radio cuz someone bit 'em, hehe

Honestly though, thanks for that advice. Sometimes, i *THINK* of scenarios & situations like that, but when i have someone else pounding it into my head, it makes me 10x more likely to do it, ya know? Thanks for that...

Ill tell u what dogg....one of the first things I noticed about your style was, "damn, this cat knows how to SAY IT". I could actually FEEL what you were sayin, because the emotion and vocal power u put into it matched and enhanced your lyrics perfectly. I think folks will notice that about my style too....I try my hardest to match my emotion and vocal energy to the tone of the song. Not a lot of rappers do that....I hear a lot of albums where the rapper's tone and vocal force stay the same in every song.

Werd, thanks homie. I appreciate that alot and I can say tha same for you. Truthfully, Mo-X has basically molded me into tha rapper I am today.......tha combination of us makin crappy ass songs on his computer and him tutoring me on my emotion/flow/delivery, hes helped me sooooo much. I can also credit D-Sane wit tha "sound off like you got a pair" motto, LMAO. Jus wait till these peeps here Lil' G & YV's "Seen But Not Heard" track...........that will be FULL of emotion right there.

LMAO......"Wassup YV, hows it goin wit ya flows man?" :cheeky:

I appreciate that Tadou, especially wit tha "disagreements" weve had in tha past.......:cheeky:

However, me and Mo went into tha studio and recorded "Angry Soul" a couple weeks before Sarkastik recorded his verse. Ill admit tho.....after seein Kas write a verse in 20 minutes and record it all on tha first takes it makes you kinda be like "damn, I sorta feel wack now," after it takes ya a couple takes to get ya verse down, LMAO. Not to mention tha tight-ass way that he records his shit.........Kas is a cool ass muhfucka too and you WILL be hearing more Mo-X, Lil' G, and Sarkastik, pleezbaleevit.

^ i agree 100% - kas is so talented...and...he don't fuck around, that's a recipe for success right there. i think with the right promotion behind him, his next album will be the best SLR album released as of yet... he's got some major competition with his other label mates when he drops his next album after No Gimmicks, No Image, Straight Lyriks... that Crytical & YV... man... I can't even describe... but for a lack of better words, MAJOR HEAT.

i gotta head out like a fetus... peace
