the automotive dealerships are hiring like crazy. all you need to do is take some courses at a community college and apply at dealerships telling them you going to school and theyll hire you.. they start out at 15-20 depending on the dealership...

I've been job hunting for a while now, I had kirby vaccums sucker me into coming for an orientation.....in the "interview" it seemed like I would be cleaning people's carpets who had appointments and if they were impressed with it and bought the thing I'd make commission on top of the base salary. they called back and said "Congratulations, I spoke to my manager and you're hired, come in for the orientation & training wednesday" I spent hella hours at that orientation plus hella gas (cuz it was in fremont) only to find out that I'd be going door to door slanging vaccums, doing a stupid ass demo to people proving how weak their vaccums were compared to the kirby.....which costed a little over a thousand dollars each  shit was 6 days a week and the hours were something like you come in at 10 or 9 and do 3 demos a day at noon, 3 and 6......fuck that shit.....I also did some online research and found that some employees weren't really getting paid because they weren't completing the requirements.....like you had to do 15 demos a week and if you missed one you don't get paid for that week, you also had to use a certain number of cleaning pads in a house (like 100 or someshit) and if a person were to buy the vaccum and then put it on ebay that constitutes as theft, because it was sold to the one person and cannot be resold.

later I was called by some other marketing place, I asked over the phone whether or not it was outside sales and they said absolutely not.....had a short interview and was asked to come back for thier orientation the following monday.....come to find out the first half was going business to business selling coupons......yeah, SELLING COUPONS, that's like a goddamn oxy moron.....the second half was getting people to sign up for direct tv or whatever promotion their working on, they considered that "inside sales" because you're inside a walmart harrassing customers instead of outside harrassing people where they work.

in high school I went to a presentation about them knive things and it was all a big load of bullshit, telling you that you have to buy the knives and make your own appointments and shit like that.......maybe it's changed, but I doubt it.

good luck, but if I were you I'd keep my eyes open for other opportunities.....
