How come manufctures haven't jumped on Firewire/IEEE 1394 yet??? Thats the way to go now-a-days, fuck MIDI and all those other crazy ass wires.

check out this diagram:

A couple of wires connected to all of your gear, and PRESTO!!! finished in a matter of seconds. Hassle free.

Do you guys think manufacturers will be focusing on firewire/IEEE 1394 in the near future, rather than midi etc...

MLAN *is* firewire. It carries bi-directional digital audio and midi simutaneously.

Several manufacturers have MLAN support coming out. A lot of them were waiting for the bugs to be worked out of the first-generation chips. The second generation chips piss all over them.

MLAN is the future of connectivity for professional audio equipment. It's a done deal.
