I used to gamble out of control through this local I had. I worked at this grocery store and me and this guy were always talkin about sports and predicting winners. He would come up to me every saturday and sunday with a list of teams he bet on. I didnt think much of it, but after me and him went through a few personal bets I got hungry. I started placing bets through him for the NFL, maybe a game or two every Sunday. Soon after I moved onto College Football and the NBA. I was actually doing great untill I started placing bets on NBA games, that shit killed me. It got so out of hand, me and this guy were betting every day on NBA games, if there was only 2 being played that day, it didnt matter if we liked one of them or not, we forced bets on both. The thing about it all is, the minimum bet on each game was $50 per. So in actuality, I was betting aproximatley $2,000-$3,000 per week. Not only that, but I was taking home around $200/w from my job. Luckily, although in the end I lost more then I won, I still maintained, I was able to support myself with the $200/w minus my gambling depts, so I wasnt losing all that bad.
See at the beginning, I was bringing around $200/w from gambling NFL and some college, thats not including the money from my job. On a single night I would bet $500 worth of NBA games knowing damn well if I lost them all it would take more then two paychecks to pay that off, but because I never lost like that, I kept going. You lost SLOWLY. I would go like 4-5 one day, 3-3 one day. (take into account 3-3 is losing because of the dues). What everyone needs to know that betting on sports is generally not a good idea. Clearly the odds are against you, otherwise there wouldnt be any bookies in buisness. Through my time of gambling I went through 2-3 different locals, all of them telling me they bring home thousands of dollars every season. They say very few people end a season as winners. The only people that win all the time, are the people that do as you described. Do extensive research, and bet on only go with your top few picks.

if its one thing ive learned from bettin on sports its that if you do your homework and research and only bet when something good comes along you make more money from this shit than you can your real job lol.
I couldnt have said it better myself. Like I said, I was forcing bets. I got so hungry, I couldnt settle for just 1 game a day. Typically my day would go as follows. On Sunday I would place a few morning bets, only the ones I really liked. Weather I won or lost I was never satisfied so I would thumb through the games and pick more. I DID do research on alot of them, but for a good part of the time, I went with what I knew. There were a few times when I would place $200 or more on a single game, I usually won all of those because research pays off. I rarely resisted a game.
