Real good times tonight at the first stop on the Hip Hop Supa Stars Tour with Xzibit, Ras Kass (his first show since being released from prison) and Strong Arm Steady.
Went with the homie Knocademus, first of all we get there, and there's people scalping tickets on the corner right, so we're thinkin about getting some from them, they're trying to negotiate with us, thank god we didn't, cuz the people that were running the event, Hip Hop Supa Stars, they kept telling my boy Knocademus that if he could rap, they would give him tickets, he didn't believe it at first, but finally he busted a freestyle for them and they filmed it and all that, had a lil crowd around us outside n shit, when he was done, they gave use two free tickets, saved us $50, wonderful haha.
Kinda sucked that we were a lil late though, when we got inside, Ras Kass had just gone off stage. So while they were getting ready for Xzibit and SAS, we walked around, and went up stairs, seen Big Ant from DNA Ent. and ADR and a few others. Much luv to Big Ant for pluggin us with the VIP help at first. My boy Knocademus is from L.A. and he knew all the artists so it was a good night for him. He hadn't seen Ras Kass in a long time, and Big Ant brought him out to talk to us. Then Xzibit performed, he put on a good show with Strong Arm Steady. He did a lot of Xzibit songs, plus they did some SAS stuff and some other stuff, Mitchy Slick did "Ice Cream Muzik." Good show, X had the crowd movin, cats were sweatin up in there. Very diverse crowd.
After the show they were kinda blockin at first, but we worked our way up into the VIP area, and got to kick it with all the artists, met them, and took pictures, got contacts, handled business, etc.... Xzibit, Ras Kass, Mitchy Slick, Krondon, Phil Da Agony, Jelly Roll, and some others.
Me and Knocademus also got on The Hipnotik TV Show, much luv to Booyowski for that, look out for that if it comes on in your area, if not, it will be on their DVD coming soon.
Overall, a good night, got in free, and got to do the VIP thing networkin real big like. Put it down real big for Xplosive Magazine too. OH BOY!!
So who else was there?
