*****XBOX power supply making buzzin noise?***

had my xbox for about a year and now the power supply brick,not the actuall xbox is making a high pitched noise all of a sudden.i think its the fan thats in the supply,anybody else have this problem? do i got to bite the bullet and try to get it resolved with their support line and ship it off or is there a quick fix somebody knows about???

Have u checked the ms 360 fourms? I've never heard of this issue before

Funny, my Xbox has recently started shutting down due to overheating. Well it turns out that its my power supply, it's been really loud like u mentioned and now the light is red instead of green. So i assume its not my xbox thats the problem, its the power supply. I'd like some help on this too.

Yeah i guess i have to get a new power supply. But im hoping that i dont buy one and then it turns out to be my xbox thats the problem.

Never heard of this problem, but obviously, if the light is red, there is a problem.

Yes, mines on carpet. It used to lay flat (horizontally) and lately ive been laying it vertically
