xbox mod chip?

I tried to mod my xbox about three months ago with a solderless adapter but it does nothing different I checked many times to make sure that I had the wire in the right d0 point and I didnt fuck anything up it just wont work. Can anyone help me out with this. My xbox is a version 1.1

woulda been easier if u bought a cd/dvd burner and put it in.. you could play burned games n shit

Wont work because the DVD players on the xbox read the disc backwards if you are really good with soldering it is possible to change some stuff around on the inside of a dvd drive and make it so that it can read in your xbox but that dosnt mean you can play burnt games.
