Xbox HD help

So I hooked up my xbox to my HD TV the other day and when I turned it on the picture is distorted. You can see the menu but it is multiplied and goin back and forth on the screen.

Has anyone else had this problem. I don't know if it is just the cord or what. It might be my video card I guess.... Any ideas to what the problem is??

Also, I have hooked up the same xbox to the same TV before and it worked perfect.

You know there's a switch on the cord that says TV or HD right? switch it to HD.

yeah and make sure u connecting em right on the component plug ins

Ya I know about the switch, And I know I put the cords in the right place lol. Them were the first things I checked.

And I know it's not the tv, cuz like I said it worked before with the same setup..

It works when I don't have the switch on HD... But right when I turn the switch on HD it goes crazy.

your tv even HD compatible...? some tvs have component plugs(RGB) but arent HD ready..

Yeah man, It's worked before on the same tv.

I guess I'm just going to get a new cord and see if that works.

Is it going through any other box? i.e. a bose receiver?

If u have comcast you can get a free HD cable from them......Make sure your putting the TV on the proper settings......My TV has HDMI1, HDMI2, HDMI3,......and some other settings...
