xbox 360 wireless internet-thingy

is there any other way to hook up to LIVE other than buying the Official wireless gizmo? Can you use any USB wireless stick?

I heard a few worked in the past...but I wouldn't trust it. Any updates will kill anything going against MS.

Wireless will never be faster than a direct connection. Wireless has to go to a router, where it gets sent out to the reciever, wired connection is a direct route, no middleman.

OK I boyght ah 50ft ETHERNET so Im just going to use this....thanks for the info ppl. Ive been having fun on live....its ah whole new world of gaming for me. The only thing is that the account im on is my sisters so I haveto use her Tag/Name....Im still on the "Free Trial". Im hoping when I buy the 6 month card I will B' able to have mutiple accounts on it.
