Xbox 360 wireless adapter

Ok so I am cheap and dont want to pay $99 for the wireless adapter so that I can have wireless internet on my xbox. So how dificult is it to get a regular cheap USB adapter to work for the 360?

you should of got one in the box when you bought the 360, an its not difficult to get it to work at all

i just use the ethernet cable its cheap and cheerful!

LOL, yeah thats the lead that came with the xbox360.


If you go to xbox360 forums you can find a few threads about using cheaper adaptors for wireless but all from what ive read you need to find a specific few or youll be getting cut off regularly or it just wont work at all. Good luck.

I was told that hardwiring was a little faster...any truth to that ?

It is supposed ot be a lot faster to hardwire it because the eathernet is usually 100mbps and a 802.11g adapter is only 54mbps. Thanks for the help I just might hardwire it to my router then.
