a major wrestling site is reporting that the World Wrestling Entertainment company is opposing rapper The Game over trademarks of that name... Triple H has been using that name for sometime...

They had to give it up, forced by a court order because the W.W.F. (World Wildlife Foundation or whatever) owned the Trademark long before Vince used it for the WWF/E thus again, they was forced to change the initials (and in turn, their name) and along with that, had to pay a shitload of damages to the W.W.F.

I do believe they just re-registered for "World Wrestling Federation" here in the last several months though.

Well, since they changed their name from "World Wrestling Federation" to "World Wrestling Entertainment", they dropped their trademark on "World Wrestling Federation"... but here in the last couple months, they re-applied for that trademark. Who knows why.

I do believe that WWE could have continued to use WWF if they really wanted to, they would just have to give the W.W.F. like, a chunk of all their earnings or some fucked up shit.

Sadly, it won't happen. There's no way that World Wildlife Fund is giving it up, and there's no way that Vince is gonna reach some sort of deal with them that would allow him to use it as it would mean forking over hella money.

The closest we might get is them releasing some DVD's with the "World Wrestling Federation" name, but the Logo & Initials won't be around.
