If you were to die today and lets say you went to "heaven"(regardless if you believe in it or not). Then were given the chance to write your life over again. How would you do it? What would you keep about your life? What would you change? Although you couldn't know yourself in the next life, how would you make your life "perfect"?

Would you live in a happy family, big family? would you be poor or rich and why? what race would you be? what religion would you be? What would your name be? what would you look like? would you fight in a war? would you become a professional athlete? where would you be born?

I don't know just someting I have been thinking about lately. It's pretty cool when you think about it for awhile.

I am living the perfect life. It's not what I thought it would be like, but I think I've learned more lessons than anyman that's ever lived. I have no regrets because it's not over yet and I still have alot more to learn about this place. But if I could ask for anything for myself then it should be what someone else is asking of me somewhere out there also... a companion to fill what is missing out of my life. Because without "her" I'll always be only half a man.

^Damn.

I hear you Ender...If i were to "go to heaven", and was offered that, there is no way to tell right now.., I wanna give life a chance....then when it's done, when I can look back @ my whole life..right before it ends, and not regreat living..i would not change a thing...But if I looked back @ my whole life, and was ashamed....I could only make up my mind @ that moment..
I'm not dying now, so i really can't give an straight answer...cuz i really would not care what people KNeW about me...I'm dead Right?

If you get to write toyr next life, you obviosly wrote the one your living RIGHT NOW. So you may have picked what you tought was the best ideas, and you really didnt get it like you wanted.

I would just fix a few things, id rather not post them tho.

If I could re-write and re-live my life I would definetly keep the same parents except for I would have eliminated their faults such as my fathers drug/alcohol abuse. I would have to say that I have had a fairly good life considering the circumstances.......I would mostly change the things that went on around me while I was growing up like the loved ones who passed away while I was growing up and the tragedies that I have witnessed over the years.....I would change the fact that I did not goto Harvard and become a Layer like I wanted to do! But other then that Iam thankful for the struggles that I have gone through and the heartaches I have been a victim to, these are the things that have made me strong and made me who I am today.

Let's say you did "write" your life. Mabey all the bad things in your life are used as warnings. Warnings that you placed for yourself to learn from. If you do not experience the negative concequences of life one would never apreciate life as much as we do. As we all know also, us as humans learn from our "mistakes" or sins. So mabey some of the 'major' set backs was set up by us while we were in heavan. As signposts directing us to change our lives. Cause like Lady Lane said we go stronger and become better people. So don't we benifit from our errors?

This maybe an abstract concept. Still I find it very intresting. It gives a whole new spin on the concept of evil in our lives. Also a taste of reincarnation.

It's not the problem, its how you deal with it.

It is defintely a paradox....

we experience the negative consequences to learn from them so we don't have to experience the negative consequences.

These "negative" things are only necessary as far as we feel we should accept them. As we grow further, the negativity we endure will lessen. In this light we realize that this "negativity" isn't absolutely necessary. It is only necessary because it has been allowed. Allow less of it and it shall only be neccesary to that degree......
