Wrestlemania 24 is coming to Orlando!!!

WrestleMania 24 is coming to the city of Orlando. New's 13 John Handiboe confirmed the professional wrestling giant WWE plans to make an official announcement Wednesday morning.

The wrestling extravaganza will take place in the spring of 2008 at the Amway Arena, sources explained to entertainment reporter John Handiboe.

However, the Central Florida Sports Commission will only say they are holding a press conference to announce a major international event that will attract more than 70,000 visitors from around the world.

The commission says after six months of negotiations it will be a five day event within the Central Florida Region bringing significant branding opportunities and television coverage.

News 13 has also learned that dignitaries from World Wrestling Entertainment were in Orlando at the beginning of the year to tour the Amway Arena.

The commission says Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer, John Saboor, President of the Central Florida Sports Commission and sports leaders will attend the press conference at the Orlando City Hall Rotunda. The announcement is scheduled for Wednesday, March 21 at 10:30 a.m.

Orlando? that just seems so random. how about Miami, or Atlanta? Orlando just doesnt have that big city feel that you want for a Wrestlemania

WrestleMania 24 will take place at the Florida Citrus Bowl next March, where attendance is expected to exceed 70,000 people.

WrestleMania is the biggest event of the year for World Wrestling Entertainment. The Central Florida Sports Commission said the show is expected to bring in $25 million to the economy.

It’s a rare outdoor event for the company. All previous shows in Orlando have been held at the Amway Arena.
