Reason 3.0, and a few controllers can outdo a hardware studio. Your using FL right now, right? Checc the demo of 3.0 at www.propellerheads.se

the interface is a lot different. Whether you think it's better or not is on preference, checc it out, maybe find a cracc for it (full usage of the program, to see how it fits you) then cop it if you feel it.

The subtractor's aight, the malstrom's a buaetiful peice of machinery : )

Reason is the best software synth out there, people complain about lack of Vst support but reason is a tool like anyother piece of musical gear with strong points and weak points. For the price you wont get anything better straight out of the box. The Malstrom synth is a bad ass tool to make pretty much any kind of sound you can think of if you have a basic knowledge on synthisis. Its samplers, drum machine, loop player and the effects are all really tight too. If you want to get started right its probably the best thing you can buy for under 5 bills.
