Baseball is too watered down. The Nats should leave for sure. Teh Royals and the Pirates should stay tho. There should be brackets like euro soccer, winners and losers to make it more interesting.

Nats should be a little more interesting to watch next season.. theyre still a fairly new team (used to be the Montreal Expos) I dont think people in D.C. really give a shit about baseball so it doesnt help

MLB isn't contracting anytime soon...

nats owned by mlb so that aint happening
MLB owned the Expos (towards the end of their existence), but they sold the franchise when they relocated to Washington, D.C. The Nats also have a new stadium and the Royals are remodeling Kauffman...

Royals ain't going anywhere...The taxpayers just recently anted' up over a half billion dollars to upgrade the truman sports complex (arrowhead and kauffman stadium).

Givin' how shitty my Royals have been this season...they have still averaged over 20k fans a night. Royals fans are some loyal sons of bitches i can tell you that much. Try being a fan of the lousiest franchise in all of baseball since 85' and still be proud of them. We're still here and will always be here....I don't give a fuck!

Go Royals!

The answer to the original question is....

YES

3 towns, 1 of which is in the 5th largest market in the country and 2 of which have an extremely rich baseball history in them. Those teams become competitive, they will do just fine.

Awful idea.

well, my Tigers need SOMEBODY to beat up on to get them out of a slump every so often.

I had higher hopes for KC this year, Nats are at least trying to build a squad, and the Pirates are coming up in the league with some good prospects (that one guy just hit 3 homers in one game as a ROOKIE, and runs fast as a mfkr) can't remember his name.

So yes, I would actually hate to see any franchise disband.

there have to be losers

short did u read the stat in the giants program that said that from 1993 to 2008 the Royals lost the most games in baseball? 1420. The Pirates came in second with 1419 losses.

they have good players to trade, good stadiums, good jerseys, and history.

plus i love the royals
