Shit be selling out everywhere. Rasputin's in San Lorenzo keeps having them and then they gone again. Can you get them to just put out more WOODIE for us locals?
Everybody who can't just wait be spending that Christmas money Grandma gave em on Snoop Dogg instead right now, even tho he never gonna be hard to find later and he can be heard on the radio. It's a fucking shame for reals. WHERE'S YOUR LOYALTY, HOMIES? Local latins and poor white boys need a voice--no disrespect to Snoop, but Snoop already made it and brought up his own folx without barely reaching to no other races I can see. Also some people working there act like it's news to them that alphabetically the dubs start around the corner from the main section of rap, like they don't know you can be hard to find for some folx not familiar with their set up. Last time around they had lots of posters up everywhere and now they acting like you just another mainstream big name that could just be found any old where. They need to keep you as a local boy stocked much more than the top 40 crap cuz we be buyin it and we need to be buyin it to get word out to homies here. Why they acting like it just music and not a real life cultural phenomenon in progress? Somebody need to go school the minimum wagers who are not knowing working the counters, cuz they treating your CD like it's just entertainment as if any other artist could even try to replace your neccessary information. Can you get like one of those big cardboard cutout trunk show style displays like Snoop got in the music store over by Mason street in SF? I can't wait to see an actual Northerner and not another LA or New York fool trying to sell us what THEY want us to be rather than what we are. Woodie, if anybody can do it, you can pull it off. Anyway's don't drive yoself crazy over the whole stocking situation for the whole year, but right now that CD is brand new and everybody that got money for Christmas to buy what they really wanted (that Mom wouldn't buy for them) is hitting the stores RIGHT NOW. I'd say jump on the phone and make sure you get overstocked if you can, cuz it look like you blowing up good. Ditto that for all the Northern Expozure CDs too, cuz a lot of em just ain't there either. Fo sho some people just give up like pussies and spend they doe on somebody else's shit cuz they can't make a second trip to the record store before they doe gets spent on something stupid.
Get your shiz on the shelves as much as you can homie, cuz people that don't have any really do need it to keep up on what's important. There's so many people who couldn't find Northern Expozure they went and got confuzed by hearing things second hand and not from the direct horse's mouth on the CDs. We got enough misunderstandings out there as it is, so I'd really like to see people keeping your real CD close by so when they speaking on something, they know what you really saying.
