Just a question.....when you make ur records, are they solely intended for a specific audience, or do you like to put the music out to anyone who'd like it.
For example I live in England and I get people tellin me I shouldn't listen to Norteno rap because it's nothing to do with me etc....but I just like the music. You feel what I'm gettin at?
BTW i'm plannin on rappin as a career. British hiphop is too underrated and unnoticed.

p.s., Woodie, you have Irish blood, rite? Have u ever been or lived there and do you have family there or anything.

Thanks yall.

From my point of view, music is music. As long as you feel it. When I make music I'm not trying to pin point a certain group or culture. I just rap about shit that I know and been through. When it comes from the heart and you truly believe in what your saying, it shouldn't matter who your audience is. I listen to a lot of music that doesn't have anything to do w/ me or my lifestyle. I believe you have to have a taste for a lot of different music to really succeed at making good music. For people to tell you what music you should and shouldn't listen to, isn't crackin'. If you feel it, then maybe you go and pick up the next album. If not, then you say "Fuck this music, I ain't fuckin' w/ it". I hope this helps answer your question.

Yeah, i definitely agree wit what everyone is sayin... I listen to all sorts of music, and many people wonder how I can like one certain kind of music or group and the other... Point is, as long as you like the music and you're feelin it, thats all that matters... I agree with chrisdogg... i was brought up on mj too... I dont listen to his stuff anymore, but I still listen to lots of the oldies but goodies... How many of us in here feelin' some of that Motown or Temptations or Smokey Robinson shit??

Like, i listen to tons of east co co music also... im not in a gang, but i definitely feel the music, and plus im from and always be claimin' northern cali as my home... As I've sed in other posts, I ain't feelin all that cash money/bling bling/rollin' in the benz bullsht... Any mothafucka can rap about how much shit he has, but who gives a fuck in the end? When you rap about your struggles and yo life stories, thats the shit that needs to be listened to... I try to rap about lots of shit, just my feelings on all sorts of issues.. I'm a white rapper myself, but everyone jus has to laugh and thnk of some dumb bullshit to say, like you ain't black and yo ain't no gangbanger... well its not about race, its about the talent... (maybe sometime soon i'll post some of my lyrics...) I mean shit, you put Woodie, whose white, against Master P, whose black, Woodie will whoop P's ass and lyrically kill him 5 times before he hits the ground...
