Hey whats up yall.
first off i read alot of post about woodie since he past and through all the post i never read anybody say or remember were they were when they first heard a track from woodie. I always heard of woodie on compilations but one
caught my attention on that undergroud hittaz comp w/ b-dawg on it.
i live in colorado so were slow when we get music out here so one of the albums that i got was "Life Stories", and that shit blew my fucking mind.
that shit was so tight all i played was that album from begining to end.
i go to a house party and i be like put this in, or i would post at the park and just pound it loud. So now i got every album i can get my hands on and i'll listen to for as long as i'm alive. Now to Big Tone i'm impressed with your music, you holding it down for woodie and i can tell he has influenced your music. so on some gangsta shit Tone Keep giving me that dope for my trunck and Rest In Peace to WOODIE

First time I heard of WODDIE (R.I.P.) was in $ummer of 96 off da "City Of Dope" compilation... "The Way You Feel" wuz wut $tarted it 4 me....U could hear it wuz real enough to get u. The $ound$ were new and da rap$ were hella up2date. Dat wuz the reale$t rap cut I ever heard at dat point in time--it $traight captivated ( i wuz 19). WOODIE (r.i.p.) had Hi$ beat$ to tha "T" and it wuz too original with some high quality along$ide wit it..
Foolz still need to recognize from everywhere dat eventhough Him and Hi$ Homie$ did wut they did, it all came from the Northern California Bay Area...MUCH LOVE and MUCH RE$PECT...

$TAY TRUE....
-PEACE

THEN ONE DAY HE TOLD ME ABOUT WOOD, I DOWNLOADED NS GANGBANG. THE NEXT WEEK I WAS FORTUNATE ENOUGH TO COP AN OG COPY OF DEMONZ N MY SLEEP. I used to listen to darkroom shit alot, then one day one of my homeboys was bumping what was northern cali dippin. He told me who it was then I went to the mall in Visalia and previewed that Demonz in My Sleep album there. Been hooked ever since. What got me was the quality of music and the ambient sound. Its as if the music had its own mood which rap music generally doesnt posses. I must have been 15 or 16 so a good 7 years ago. Damn....
