Women to Men ratio affecting Violence in cities

What does everyone think about this? There was a article in our paper the other day about how the percentage of women to men, or men to women in a cities population can affect how much violence there is in a city. It was saying that cities that have more men than women seem to have more gangs, murders, assualts, there is actually a higher percentage of all crimes in a city like this. Do you agree with this? What is you cities M/F ratio?

Salinas has 3 Men to 1 Woman. And i agree with it

i think the frustration of no women being around could be a big part of this problem and also all the machismo/testosterone going around must play a role.
