VENTURA, Calif. (AP) ― A woman who bit into a slightly decayed molar while eating her tortilla salad is suing the supermarket where she bought the meal.
Paige O'Shea says in the lawsuit filed in Ventura County Superior Court that she was eating the salad's refried beans last summer when she bit down on a small, rocklike item. It turned out to be a man's tooth, complete with filling.
O'Shea, who lives in Silver Strand Beach, bought the salad at a Vons supermarket, which is owned by Safeway Stores Inc. She is suing Safeway and Hoopeston Foods, which made the canned refried beans.
O'Shea says that after she complained, she received 10, $1 coupons and an apology.
