Woman Sentenced for Mailing Herself Pot

AMARILLO, Texas (AP) — An Amarillo woman who mailed 78 pounds of marijuana to herself was sentenced to 2 1/2 years in federal prison Monday.

Tiffany Joy Kelly, 28, pleaded guilty in October to one count of illegal use of a communication facility, the U.S. Attorney's Office in Dallas said in a news release. She has been in custody since her arrest in July, after a postal inspector in El Paso became suspicious of two Express Mail parcels.

A search warrant allowed officials to open the packages, which were then resealed and sent to Kelly at a motel in Amarillo.

Kelly was arrested after accepting the packages. Prosecutors said she admitted buying the marijuana and mailing it to herself so she could distribute it.

that's a lot of weed... if you smoked a zip a day.. it would take over 3 years to smoke that shit.. damn.. you can't even say your gonna smoke all that shit.. no one would believe you.

who knows how many times she got away with it before, 2 years might be nothing compared to the money shes made over the years by selling pot

I bet all that shit was straight schwag too. I feel sorry for the fooz that could only hook up on the bam bam. Cuze they be gettin it off only for like $20-$50 a zone and the time is all the same whether its bammer or bomb, haha. I knew this one cat in LA who stayed rollin round with 2 pounds in his trunk. But the numuts had straight garbage and was gettin off zones for $25. Not really worth the risk for the money, but normally it ain't unless you got the plug.

I use to get thizz from LA by UPS back in the day. If you do it by mail your asking for trouble and it's a federal offense so stiffer penalties.

Plus 100 pills vs hella pounds of weed is a lot different....lol
