The Bush team's just having a bad go of it lately, with only five
short months before the November elections. However, recently the
WMC's were finally found!
Weapons of Mass Chickens, that is.
A front page story today laughingly mocked the Pentagon intelligence
analysts "proof" in the form of high-altitude satellite photos
which, to the chagrin of the World, had repeatedly confused Scud
missile storage sites with the short, half-cylindrical sheds used by
Iraqi chicken farmers to house their poultry. As a result, teams of
U.N. weapons experts acting on "U.S. intelligence" scrambled to
search chicken coops for missiles that were actually hidden with the
egg-laying bipeds. These coops were later targetted and blown to
smithereens by our fighter/bombers during the war. (It's estimated
that approximately 400,000 chickens lost their lives at that time).
Fried chicken, as it were.
So we've finally gotten rid of the Weapons of Mass Chickens, and
helped bring democracy to Iraqi farmers by destroying their
livelihoods. Bravo! Maybe these poor Iraqis could now apply for
poverty-jobs as custodians and maids to the Halliburton gang as they
continue to glut themselves with whatever treasure they can loot
from this battered "sovereign" nation?
