you have to have both the modem and the wireless router.
You can get a modem that is a hub with extra ports but for what I know you wont be able to find a wireless one that is compatable.

You'll need both...but you should get your own Comcast Modem...cause they charge you for renting theres...but its only like 60 bucks...( Go w/ The Motorola one...the RCA one is crap, I had to return like 2 of them already )

Then go out and get a Wireless Router ( Linksys or D-Link are nice ) and if your notebook has a built in WiFi card...you don't need to get the notebook adapter...but if it doesn't just get the combo pack w/ the router and card..

You can get a "gateway" from Comcast which is a modem with integrated wireless router....but if just get the modem then you have to buy the router separately...

I know that other companies have this too SBC tried to sel me one but if you want to simplify things a little this would be a good way to go.

...i got a wireless modem from SBC...they charged me a $50 one time fee...if theyre trying to charge per month now, then just take their regular modem and go buy a wireless router for $40 - $60 bucks at Best Buy...Netgear and Griffin are straight...
