Go here:
works like a charm. But of course you should ONLY use this to practice on your own network. :) You'll be breaking the law other wise. You wouldn't want to do that now would you. lol.

There is a learning curve. But once you get it. You will never forget.
The old version is called Auditor. The newest version is called Back|Track.
Read the forums and FAQ's before you download. If you ask this same question over there you will not get a response. Have fun.

Edit: THE TASK YOU ARE TRYING TO ACCOMPLISH WILL NOT HAPPEN ON WINDOWS XP OR A MAC! If you are not willing to learn how to install the Linux operating system and how to use it. DO NOT CONTINUE ANY FURTHER!
If you learn quickly, everything you need to know is in the forums. Use the search function.

What does lynux look like. Is it hard to use? Or is it just like windows?
There are different distributions of it......some easier or more "user friendly" than others.....it can be made to look just like Windows if you want..

can you use both linux and windows on the same computer...if so how do you do it thank you..
Yes you can. I have XP/Linux dual boot. But it was after a few Google searches.
type Linux dual boot or Linux Grub into google and see what you come up with. It's kind of dangerous if you don't know what you are doing. I recommend using a Live CD. A live CD allows you to boot from the CD drive and the entire Linux OS will run from your disk. You should get your feet wet with that to see if its something you want to stick with. But for the topic of this thread. Auditor and Back|Track are both LIVE so you can get your wireless practice on, eject the disk when you are done, and not leave a single trace of your activity on your computer. Kinda like a ghost in the machine. :)

It was a big problem on my computer cause i was using software RAID (and wanted it as 1 still), but its was alot easier since i got a RAID Controller, but with a RAID card u cant just use any card. For that type its best to use 3ware, im using 3ware 8500-4 (if u ever look it say what Operating Systems Supported on them), and if your gonna get 1 i suggest look on ebay got some that are alot cheaper. And like Doberman said try live first, some is easier and harder cause how different they are

Some people may not realize that Linux dont use .exe files so u gotta download a program to use them, but on a better note on that most of your virus use .exe and dll files. And it was more setup for server so gotta sign in on as root for like mounting cds (that includes just getting something off it) but at that link i give u above that method can be remove
