Thats is on some environmentalist tip???
I clearly think that it would be a great idea cuz we are in a current sitaution where we need to conserve our fragile planet from going thru some drastic changes which is already effecting some regions since recently...
We do need someone to contribute to our environment by spreading awareness within his/her conscious lyrics that we need to look onto the rest of our world & talk more about whats reely goin on in the rest of the world besides our inner city streets & local/national politics!!! I truly believe this can be a good essential outlook for today's hip-hop game cuz there's is not at all artist that can be interested or inspired by the natural world & the knowledge of it!! Tho essentially, rock bands have done it & paved their way musically for environmentalism, ecological & wildlife conservation & recreation so why cant a hip-hop artist throw his mic on the ring & make that sacrifice?????? This is an essential outlook since we already been having political & conscious hip-hop artists & another way to dismantle the usual common stereotypes against rappers & minorities!!! C'mon fellow rappers & emcees??? Leave the nonsense behind & commence spittin your greatest knowledge!!!

Remember, we need more innovating icons & role-models; not imitators, fakes & gimmicks!!!

We need a David Attenborough, Stephen Hawking, Steve Irwin, or Jeff Corwin typa emcee!!!
Not a 2pac, ICP, Soulja Boy or a Tony Montana LMAO!!!!!!

there are rappers who include these topics in their lyrics, but these are usually white dudse on some nerdcore / abstract hip-hop shit and they all suck, and when I say they suck, I mean that they suck so bad that MIMS is really hot compared to them

how did 2pac get thown in with those other names?? you do know he did alotta political & conscious rap, rite?

anyway, the only person who i could picture throwing in some environmental shit (& have it actually make an impact) would be immortal technique. i wouldn't hold my breath over it, but he's done some stuff i didn't expect to ever hear on a rap album before ("beef & broccoli" for example), so its possible...

I think the better question would be, does that really belong in music? Im not saying that it isn't relevant fam, I just don't think most people want to be bothered with that kind of topic unless it's just say, one track on an album with some clever insight.....If I want 2 hear a preacher, im goin 2 go 2 church...if I want to hear about the environment, I don't look at my rap collection 4 answers, ya kno? Just my thoughts

Pac was killed before he could come full circle. He died at the whole "Thug" stage...That "Thug" stage wasent going to last forever. He would of evolved as a person and changed as he got older and went thru his trials and tribulations.Just imagaine what Pac would be talking about had he not been killed and came full circle as a person in thoughts, ideas and general growth.

It would never happen in hip-hop. If an artist ever tried, he would immediately be seen as a gimmick...even if he really was dedicated to the cause. Besides that, the artist would get no radio play, nor would his album sell.

He'd probably be talking about 50 Cent, and how he fucked his wife, too, and how he'd kill him, because he's a WEST COAST KILLA, and he'd be talking about banging Beyonce, and pissing on Cam'ron's pink fur coat...

Controversy sells, and he lived for it.
