well, since 75% of fans of rap music are white, and every single one of these white kids have a 75% chance of getting their asses beaten senseless for merely mentioning ugly nigga's name, or wearing a t-shirt bearing his name... yeah, ugly nigga probably will fail

but hey, you can't have success without failure, right?

do you really think people get beat up that easily?

i dont know any black people who take offence to white people sayin nigga in context of songs or even in discussion about racial issues

most people are smart enough to determine if the word is used as racial slur or to aggravate someone intentionally

and if u cant differentiate then you are most likely trying to compensate for something else

To explore your point even further...what I get from this type of comment about being beat up for saying the word nigga is that you think black people are savages and that you dont want to upset them...montroller510 hit it right on the head...it's the context inwhich it's being used...in the end if you don't think your a NIGGA...you wont be offended...simple.

then you dont know enough black people, or you only know the suburban half my crew is diverse blacks. i would personally strip one out of that shirt. if you talking about east oakland, it's too many kumi, bgf, former panthers, ignorant cats, uhuru house types that would be on helmets for that

No. I don't think that's what the dude was implying...The word "nigger" or any variation of it is a controversial word, period. We all know this. However, just like any "bad word", the sting or lack thereof depends on context. And in instances where the is no context behind saying it, people will take it as a negative. For example, someone walking around in a predominately gay neighborhood wearing the word "Faggot" on his shirt. That's not going to be taken well. It looks like a diss. Point blank. There's no defending that. However, in that example, I doubt that person would get physically harmed. Punches where the thumb is tucked in the fist don't really hurt. lol
