I live in BFE right now and I just left an open Mic bar where some fat white guy w/ a beard and a flanel sang "I'm a player" to a guy w/ a guitar. I stood up and pumped fists..... this guy must have been 30 something....

Too Short is the godfather or bay area rap and I'm honored to like the music the he led me to. If you don't like too short you've got no business surfing these forums.... and I'll argue that til' the day I die....

I'd still buy a too short record no matter where he lives. I have to admit that I miss the old days when every track was good, but 99% of every records that come out nowadays contain a lot of wack tracks, no matter which rapper we're talking about. So I still got love for too short. I just wish he never brings Lil Jon on his records anymore...

Yup. And Short Dog, even at his "worst", is still often a helluva lot better than many rappers at their "best." I don't find myself putting on (for example) CHASE THE CAT or WHAT'S MY FAVORITE WORD every day (the way I used to do w/ SHORTY THE PIMP or COCKTALES), but they're cool to play once a week, late at night when you're trying to chill and whatnot...

PEACE!

I too can see the change he has made. I mean I don't have a problem myself with his new transition but then again I too miss the older material! I mean his change ain't that bad! At least he ain't jumping into a suit and dancing around and shit!
