Anybody hear this shit? I just had to listen to this song 2 times in a row. To be honest, the beat is real tight. BUT, Imma have to say......... theres a part in the song where his flow is like an emulation of how Tech N9ne has been spittin for the past 8 years. Right after he talks about eminem and starts babbling about people on the radio, its like he just rips the monotones from a Tech verse and changes up the words. Damnit, now I gotta listen to it again cuz I just mentioned it. Ya'll download this shit and give input to this thread. If you really need, I can send it to ya through AIM or somethin.

I know all about that Def Jam. Personally I like will smith, he's tight at everything he does. I like his music (most of it) and his movies and all that, he's a tight dude. BUT, I just had to post that up there, the shit for real sounds like he heard a tech n9ne verse and was like "that style is hot" so put a verse in his song that sounded a lot like it. Tech's style is just crazy how he can switch up the tone of his voice to higher/lower in mid flow and just hit every syllable, and it sounds to me like in that particular verse he tried to do the same thing. Like Twista for example, he's quick as a muthafucka but his flow doesn't bounce like Tech's does. Im sure ya'll know what im trying to get at. :dead:

i meant that russell simmons didnt wanna sign them. but rick rubin did.

That woulda been too easy considering those are the 2 co-founders of the label.

But the way you worded ya question I dont see how you could've derived the answer you were after.

IS IT JUST ME THAT SEE'S THIS WHOLE TECH'S FLOW BEING BIT THING?!?!

i just wrote a 20 page paper on the emergence of hip hop as an industry and used Def Jam as a case study, so i know A LOT (too much) about Def Jam. read several books about the company.
