Let me answer the questions since it is found to be difficult for others.

1. No, science will NEVER be able to predict the future. How could science do such a thing? build a time machine? I highly doubt that. If we knew when we were going to die or what was going to happen tomorow we would be going crazy trying to prevent those events to occur. Thus the world would be sent into chaos. Why watch a football game if you already know what is going to happen. We can read every newspaper in print about today however we would not know anything of whats going to happen tomorow. This also proves against the Pi theory, that the stock market can be messured and predicted.

2. I highly doubt it. The more science progresses the more technology is being produced. Thus producing more greenhouse gas. This proccess cannot be reversed. So much for relying on technology.

3. No, a scientist who claims that there is no moral order in the universe can partake in a moral debate. Why should he or she? to them there is no morals in this world. Well a scientist may claim that they partake in moral debates to further the progress of the human race. "Survial of the Fittest" Yet science has no absolute on where this progress is taking humans. Thus were limited like in the first answer to my questions.

Maybe a scientist can answer this question. Is there anything perfect in this world?

Long time no post basically. I suppose you just couldnt resist the powers of the siccness?

I don't know what it is basically, but this isn't the first time I have noticed you post your thoughts against science. For some reason it seems that you have something against science. It is as if you view science as a religion or a belief that you are against or trying to dismiss. Of course this is just my observation.

1.) I dont know if science will ever be able to predict the future in the sense of predicting minute details, since life is random, of course. However, I do believe its possible science will accurately calculate different variables, using collected data and super processors that will accurately tell us certain things about our future. Such technology already exists and is improving at a rapid rate.

2.) I dont see why not, I definately think its possible. There are many different ideas and theories on different ways to try and fix or reduce this problem but unfortunately these ideas dont have any chance of becoming a reality do to a lack of research and lack of $$$. Its unfortunate that we spend more money on national defense, defending ourselves from false enemies, then we do on the enviornment.

3.)This is a silly question. Of course a scientist can. It seems you are grouping all scientists together. Remember, all scientists are different and there are thousands of different kinds. It's kind of like saying all Priests molest children. As far as lieying about his data, I suppose that is wrong, but I also suppose there may be reasons such as why he is lieying and who he is lieying to. I will comment more later tonight.

To claim science CREATES the future is absurd. Science didn't create the moon, stars, earth, solar system, weather etc... We learn a lot more from our past then we do from what MIGHT be of the future.

Science is only a messurment of the present. Also is STILL very limited. Science still has yet to give an accurate reason why humans or any animals for that reason sleep.

Is science limited?

I don't have a problem with science. I just feel along with other great philosophers in saying that it is absurd to say a science does not have faith.

If life is so random, then how would science ever be able to pin down the cause and effects of life as we know it. Although a scientist has a hypothesis, how would we know that, yes in fact that is truth when there are so many random answers?

nah, thas not what i meant. i was partly being sarcastic and meant that scientist are always studying and trying to understand new shit way before we even are aware that new shit exists. so when they come up with a solution to a problem and make some type of change, that affects our future.

lol, huh? you just dont know much about science or what your talking about, if you actually investigated the things that YOU dont know, instead of saying SCIENCE doesnt know them youd have alot of your questions answered. whens the last time you ever interacted with a genius scientist? your assuming that science as a whole doesnt know the answer to your questions because there not on a video or they werent taught in school. just think of this, while your on the internet talking about shit "science" doesnt know, you could be trying to figure out things you need to know. i could give plausible answers to your questions.

1. the future of what? everything in the world? first of all, who the fuck would want to? the only things we should need to predict are the things that we need to stop from happening. such as a nuclear winter, or anything else that would threaten the life of the planet so harshly.(it is possible to jump through time, however, wed somehow have to create a vacuum that stopped light from entering, basically a black hole on earth, then by going in the black hole type machine and then somehow coming back out, the lapse in time would be much like time traveling ahead)
2. ... huh? so more scientific advances lead to more technology that produces more greenhouse gas? L O L, by saying this, you are stating that well never have cleaner, more efficient ways of producing materials in the future? that makes no sense, we used to burn coal for power, now what are we using? what makes you think that well still be using the same things in the next 50-100 years? in your tiny brain, you just cant fathom anything more advanced then we have now which leads you to say such stupid bullshit. the ozone layer replenishes itself, although very slowly, our technology will get to the point where we dont use any gasses that disturb the ozone, and thus it will start its period of replenishment and after a long ass time will be the same again.
3. im not even going to bother to answer, your so completely reliant on your ignorance and your ties to religion im sure youve already ignored or figured out a way to make your puny mind believe im wrong, that everything you believe is right and god will save you from this horrible wretched world your so ignorantly scared to live in and so completely stupid to better.

As for a time machine, why create a machine for something that doesn't exist?
Time does not exist....

No. That's not up to science, it's up to the public.
Now you ask me will the public ever put a hault to these gasses?
No....

It is human nature to be addicted to your own ideas....
Even scientists stumble here....

It has the potential but it never will because we'll always have stubborn people in this world.

Yes. There's been well documented studies to back it up.

6). Will religion ever except evolution?
Maybe to an extent. Call it adaptation but not evolution.
And the recent completion of the mapping of dog DNA doesn't help either. Dog DNA is 75% the same as human DNA....

7). Will Christians ever reject the bibles contradictions such as Noah’s Arch?
No.... There is no biblical contradictions.

Maybe, it's possible under globalization with one dictator....

But my personal opinion? No.... There will always be hope....

2). Not really. Read the condom thread.

It has the potential but it never will because we'll always have stubborn people in this world.
3). LOL, how can religion accomplish this? By prayer?

No.... (Any church)
4). I'm glad to see we are in agreement about this.

Yes. There's been well documented studies to back it up.
5). Please, humor me with specifics.

Maybe to an extent. Call it adaptation but not evolution.
6). You cant accept some or a little bit of evolution. You either believe or do not believe.

No.... There is no biblical contradictions.
7). I'm sorry but I think your a liar.

Yes.... How ever, many cannot....
8). Not if they reject science.

Maybe, it's possible under globalization with one dictator....
9). If there will ever be a chance of world peace, it can only occur when religion is completely abolished.

1). Will religion be able to predict the future?
It already has. There has been many documentations of prophets. Also religion is not to deal with tomorow. "Religion" also deals with today, the present.

2). Will religion ever exept science?
Yes, it actully makes it stronger. Ever heard of the Holographic Universe? I read a good book about it as well as a long article in the Scientific American magazine.

3). Will religion put a hault to Greenhouse gasses which are killing the ozone layer?

Nope.

4). Will the church ever admit to its wrong doings of the past and stop lying to the world?
Probbly not. Church and God are two different entities.

5). Does prayer work?
Yes. I belive it does.

6). Will religion ever except evolution?
Who cares? How do I benifit from evolution today? we all evolved into humans. So? evolution does not answer the questions still relevent to humans today. Evolution is still a theory.

7). Will Christians ever reject the bibles contradictions such as Noah’s Arch? Have you read the bible? aren't you contradicting yourself? you have 666 in your profile and devil this devil that. You take away the Bible and the devil doesn't exist. Odd. Basically you need God to have the Devil. Kinda like how Esham contradicts himself. He is basically rapping about this "evil" life and God this God that. Without that he has no lyrics. He and you are basically are benifiting from the other end of the spectrum. Take God away and you have no spectrum. See the contradition?
8). Can religious people think rationally?

Can you define irrational? I know you cannot, so therefore I must be thinking rationally.

9). Will religion ever be abolished?
No never. There will never be world peace. That is an absurd concept. Look how much the world benifits from death, distruction and war. "Evil" is part of the animation of life. I thought you loved evil?
"religion" or worship of Spirit has been around for millions of years. I know in my life time it will never go away.
Oh yeah why does this seem like some redundant circle. Why are we talking about religion? do I have to once again state that God and religion are two different things. Religion is only a tool. It also is man made. Jesus never said make a religion after me. It was not until St. Paul started developing the pricipals of the Christian church.

Kryptic- Go ahead and attack my character and question what knowledge I might or might not have. The more you do so only gives me more reason not to read what you type. I know you don't know who I am. So I could seriously give a shit about some kid on the internet trying to talk shit.

Kryptic-what in this world is perfect?

I would love you see you guys in a roundtable debate at Cambridge or Harvard. This board is limited when it comes to topics as big as this.

I feel ya...I was disapointed when I read some of the replies you receieved. There has been some real good debates in the past about god/atheism/science etc. As of late it has been a little dificult to engage in stimulating debates relating to these topics due to the lack of replies and immature assholes.

^^^lol at whats been going on, this thread should of never been made i just couldnt believe the basis of the questions of this thread...i have a problem with my tolerance for complete ignorance but i need to remember people dont have the same information i have...sooooo. to answer any questions about time travel, read any in-depth articles on black holes. green house gases...uhmm not sure where to look for this because i learned this from a text book, type in something about the ozone layer.in fact, let me dig out some chem 101 notes from college: the ozone is made up of O3, when ultra violet light from the sun hits this layer of O3, friction causes the O3 particle to lose a photon and become O2 (breathable air) after this particle of breathable air is formed it floats down to earth with the remaining 70% of ultraviolet rays that made it through the O3 layer. now, this leaves one radicle O particle to be floating around, unstable, it connects to its nearest available partner. Now you said scientists needed to stop "greenhouse gases", which makes no sense, we need greenhouse gas, it keeps earth from freezing, what we need to stop is the CFC's and the HCFC's (hydrochlorofluorocarbons). so in a nut shell, these CFC's will stop when science finds a cleaner way to make things. so really, what has hope from religion brought that has helped as much as science?
