LOGAN, Utah -- A woman tried to give her husband away on Craigslist because he plays too many video games.
The family says it was all in fun, but there's been quite a response.
On November 8th's midnight release of Modern Warfare 3, Joseph Baddley was waiting in line with bells on.
He bought one of the 7-million copies sold that day.
"So he could stand in a huge long line, pick up this game, drive home and begin playing and I didn't see him for like three days straight," said Joseph's wife, Alyse.
Joseph was recently discharged from the military after a back injury in Afghanistan.
Now, he's glued to virtual combat. He admits it's not normal.
"No, but most of my friends are in the military. This is how we stay connected," said Joseph.
One day Alyse was shopping around with her mother-in-law on Craigslist when a light went off in her head.
"And I said, I'm going to sell him on Craigslist if he doesn't stop playing his video game. And she said, 'Oh, just do it.' So, I did!" said Alyse.
The ad describes Baddley as easy to maintain, just feed and water every 3-5 hours.
It also warns purchasers theyll need Internet service and space for gaming.
It also says Alyse Baddley would trade her husband of two years for an acceptable replacement.
They didn't expect much from the ad that read, "Free. On Craigslist. To a good home."
But, emails started pouring in.
"I've had a couple personal ads for men saying, oh I'm housebroke, I'm trained, I'll trade places," said Alyse.
"Some lady thought it was serious and tried to give us marital counseling," said Joseph.
"Because I think he deserves his gaming after everything that he's done. I love him. It was just a joke!" said Alyse
