99% of the time the independent version (Inmates Records Only) dropped first and is the OG. Not familiar w/ it on this release tho.

The Inmates records version is the OG. It was re-released through Bigtyme when they hooked up with Priority. 20-2-life and Inmate records was on BigTyme before they dropped the self-titled album so I guess they grabbed the chance to get nationwide distribution when they got it. I even found that record here in ordinary Norwegian record stores.

I think Priority distributed a few BigTyme records albums around that time: Point Plank N-tha-do, PSK-13 Born Bad, Wreckless Klan blowin up tha scene and the 20-2-life re-release to mention some. I guess they didn't sell many copies because I think Priority dropped distribution after a very short time.

Don't know about any differences in the tracks though. It's an underrated album.

WOW! This is one of my favorite albums and I never noticed the difference in the songs! What the hell is wrong with me?

Anyway, here's the get down:

The 2nd one he posted is from the 20-2-Life album "Twenty 2 Life". The production is credited to The H-Bomb Unit. I own the Inmate version (IMT-001) so I can't speak for any re-release.

The 1st one he posted is from "The Gulf Coast Compilation - Pimpin' A Hustle". The production on this one is credited to Tiger. The CD # is IMT-003.

And in case anyone wants to know more about the comp, here's the tracklisting (a VERY tight CD)

20-2-Life : Whatever It Takes
Lil Keke feat. Pimpstress, 20-2-Life, Ice Lord and PSK-13 : On The Grind
Klondike Kat - No Tricks
20-2-Life : Round & Round **ONE OF MY ALL TIME FAVE SONGS***
Trinity Garden Cartel : It's All About Survival
Slicc feat. Ghetto Twiinz : Exit Wrong
Big Mello : Stackin Paper
Smooth Execution feat. 20-2-Life : 3 for 10
Coop MC : Maximize Your Profits
2-Def feat PSK-13 : Real Niggas Don't...
J-Merrill : Flip the Switch
Born 2wice : Heaven 4 A G
U.N.L.V. : Chill and Hustle
Criminal Element : Dazed and Confused
JAM feat. Pimpstress : Don't Need a Hustler
C-Loc : Whatever (not actually on the CD but it's in the liner notes... LOL)
